Oh, and the online chat people must get a lot of flack about this subject because I got cut off twice while they were "helping" me. If you price fairly and transparently, you gain more customer loyalty, not less. Stop with the "Automatic Renewal" as default so you catch folks unaware, which I'm almost certain some "Pharma-Bro" wanna-be pitched in a marketing meeting he attended in his ladder-climb. Everybody else you let be a reseller discounts it maybe ten bucks. ![]() If you're going to let resellers discount it to $29.99 (Amazon, Norton 360 Premium Download) then the resubscribe price should be $59.99 AT MOST. If that's not what Finance says is doable.then stop letting Amazon sell it. I don't want that they shouldn't make money, but I don't see how their tone-deaf marketing department don't realize that such a disparity between a one year "discounted" price and a resubscription price FIVE TIMES THE ORIGINAL after a free trial is guaranteed to piss people off !!!Īll I want is pricing that's fair and level. I have two ten-device subscriptions since I play IT person for the family and I've done the product key substitution hack for twenty-plus years I've been a customer. Not sure if uninstalling your old version and doing a fresh install per device gets around that, but it's a hassle if you don't have ready access to all the devices it's on. They specifically say you can't substitute product keys into your app per device any more to the effect (paraphrasing): this product cannot be used to resubscribe or extend a current Norton subscription. The best advice I can give is for you to delete you card payment information. Sorry I can't suggest a different service provider. I ended up getting a partial refund and only payed the amount listed on Amazon. During the messages I sent the Amazon webpage link to the customer support rep. How could Norton process they payment, when the automatic payment was disabled? I contacted customer support and accused them of fraud, because payment was taken without my consent. One day those notifications stopped and I was billed an monstrous amount. By the wording of the statement I have assumed I had already deleted my payment details, (but I hadn't and didn't check.) I was planning to get a product code from Amazon as they are lots cheaper, (It was about £24.) I have been using product codes for years as it is a cheaper option and have had no issues. Close to my renewal date, I got lots of notifications telling me to turn it back on and update my payment details. I turned off automatic renewal but forgot to delete payment details. (I highly suggest you remove your card details.) You can turn off automatic renewal and remove your payment details. ![]()
